Field editing inline a table and multiple editing of fields

The manipulation of fields in PaP tables would be much easier, when a field editing inline the table records would be possible - e.g. on clicking a field it is possible to change the value of that specific field.
In advance it would help to be able to modify multiple table records in one time.
E.g. it I want to change the support_group_name of ten records to the same value - select them, choose field and enter the new value - when saving it the field value of all selected records change to the new value.
